ABOUT ME
I'm a Certified Holistic Nutritionist, Health Coach, and Personal Trainer, with seven years of experience in the industry, and currently going through Avila Institute's School for Spiritual Formation.
In that time I've worked with hundreds of clients, showing them how to reach their general health and fitness goals, overcome chronic health issues, and get out of pain so they can live a full life. I don't want to use this page just to talk about my experience and credentials though, I'd rather take you on a little journey to better understand why I got into this field in the first place.
My health journey started at a young age as I always struggled with digestive issues and felt somewhat "off". That feeling only intensified as I got into high school, and decided to pursue a career in professional ballet (can you say stress galore). The high stress atmosphere, and the need to have the perfect ballerina body, led to an eating disorder that I battled with throughout all of high school and into my early 20's. What do you get when you combine strenuous exercise, long hours on your feet, and chronically under fueling? A downward health spiral.
From there I developed a cascade of symptoms and health issues that took over my life. My digestive system shut down and I suffered from severe bloating and stomach pain, adrenal fatigue, hormonal imbalances (completely lost my cycle for two years), skin issues, brain fog, disordered eating, and a very long list of food sensitivities. I was miserable to say the least, and I had no way out at the time. This led me into the world of holistic health, spending a few years in and out of doctors offices trying to find answers, but instead leaving with pieces of a puzzle I couldn't connect.
During this time, I also had to leave dancing behind due to irreversible injuries and structural issues from all of the stress over the years. Unwilling to accept that this was just going to be my life, I threw myself into research and went through schooling to become a holistic practitioner and personal trainer. It took me a few years, many setbacks, and a lot of trial and error, but slowly I started to find my health again through what I now call The Self Love System that I take my clients through.
Above the nutrition and lifestyle changes, faith is really what transformed my own health, helped me get out of the chronically stressed state I lived in, and also what healed the image wounds I had from my dance career. I started to connect the dots in my own life on how I was able to overcome what I did, stay disciplined, and gain a sense of self worth that I had never had before. The answer? All through God’s good grace. So, with this new found sense of knowing I had to share this grace with other women, I started my own business in 2022. That business is now called Growth Grit and Grace: a faith based holistic health coaching practice for women.

God helped me to recognize through my own journey, that all health and wellness approaches today fall short when it comes to truly helping women overcome their disordered outlook on food, movement, and their bodies. So what's the real solution?
Truly coming to know and accept God's love; loving God in return with all of our actions, words and thoughts; and then fully stepping into your God given identity as a beloved daughter of Christ.
Welcome along to the journey, it is good that you are here!
